Medical Insurance
DO YOU HAVE PRIVATE MEDICAL INSURANCE?
DO YOU WANT TO CLAIM THE COST OF YOUR PHYSIOTHERAPY TREATMENT?
If you have private medical insurance you may be able to reclaim the costs of your physiotherapy treatment. It is your responsibility to check the terms and conditions of your policy before you attend for treatment, and to obtain authorisation from your insurance company.
We have a direct payment agreement with most insurance companies, however, any outstanding balance is the liability of the client.
Please be aware of any excesses or percentage contributions which may apply to your policy. Some companies ask their member to pay the costs initially and then they reimburse you. If so, please ask for an itemised invoice/receipt.
Please provide us with details of your Insurer, Policy No. & Authorisation/Claim No. at your first attendance. Our fees are at a higher rate if we are invoicing an insurance company, to compensate for extra administration and delayed payment.
ARE YOU INSURED WITH AXA PPP HEALTHCARE?
AXA PPP Healthcare is changing their provider scheme.
Unfortunately, due to the new terms and conditions AXA PPP Healthcare are wishing to impose and the low fees they are willing to pay for our professional services, it is this practice's considered decision not to enter into a new agreement with them.
We have until 31st July to treat EXISTING AXA PATIENTS, after which time we cannot claim treatment costs through AXA and are therefore unable to accept any new AXA patients as of 4th July 2016. We can still provide our AXA patients with the exceptional service they have always received, but unfortunately these patients would not be able to claim the costs through AXA. We regret to inform you that if you do need to reclaim the costs of physiotherapy treatment through AXA, we will not be able to treat you after 31st July 2016, and you will have to source an alternative provider.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.
ARE YOU INSURED WITH BUPA?
We regret to inform you that we no longer have a physiotherapy provider agreement with BUPA.
In 2009, BUPA, the largest Private Medical Insurer in the UK, announced to private physiotherapy practitioners that if they wanted to continue to treat BUPA patients, they must participate in a 'blind' tender process. They asked circa 6000 private physiotherapists to compete against each other to be allowed to continue to treat BUPA patients.
A number of physiotherapists decided not to tender and others that did submit a tender may not have retained their provider status, or have had to continue negotiations with BUPA.It is this practice's considered opinion that under the working conditions which BUPA are seeking to impose and at the low fees they are prepared to pay for our expert services, we are unwilling to continue as a BUPA provider.
Obviously we can still provide BUPA patients with the exceptional service they have always received, but unfortunately you cannot claim the costs through BUPA.
If you need to reclaim the costs of physiotherapy treatment through BUPA, then we regret to inform you that you will need to source an alternative provider.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
HAS A THIRD PARTY AGREED TO PAY THE COSTS OF YOUR TREATMENT?
If so, please ask them to contact us directly, so that we can forward them our written terms and conditions of business.
We require written confirmation that they agree to these terms and conditions, before you commence treatment. Any outstanding balance that the third party does not pay is the liability of the patient. Ultimately, our service contract is between the person receiving treatment and ourselves, regardless of any offers/agreements made by third parties.
Our fees are at a higher rate if we are invoicing a third party, to compensate for extra administration and delayed payment.
